Marina ÓÁZ

Painting, ceramic sculptures, installations, photography, food art, mixed media… My artistic work is strongly influenced by my training as an engineer and by the experience I have gained living in different countries. Its roots deepen into a multidisciplinary character that can identify me with the Renaissance and Bauhaus movements, where art, engineering and craftsmanship are mixed. I am driven by curiosity and tend to apply an experimental approach.

I believe that ART is a powerful communication tool. A tool that can make us think, a tool that can drive internal and external change. My approach is two folds. On one side it is just a way to canalize my imagination, something that makes me feel good and relaxed, something I really enjoy. On the other side it is a way to speak with others, to make them feel, to make them think. My work talks about the environment, about women, about war… but also about aesthetics, about colour, about textures.
