My first sewing machine was an “agreed” present for my birthday, when we were living in The Netherlands. I still have it, but during our time in Africa it was substituted by a simpler local one. Everything I learned it was through books and online, and I get quite frustrated when I sew up something wrong and I have to undo it. I will prefer to do only designs and have somebody else sewing for me :) Knitting is a complete different story. First of all it was my grandmother who taught me the basics, and she gave me one wonderful book with 1300 stitches! I get a great deal of calm when I knit. Unfortunately, I normally give priority to all other creative stuff and therefore my projects last forever…
As a general rule, I don’t sell my fashion creations. But I would be more than happy to participate in design collaborations!
